I'm Aryan. I'm in 12th grade and heading to college next year, where I'll be majoring in business.
School was never really my thing. I never felt like I belonged in it. I've made peace with that, and the time I would have spent trying to fit in, I'd rather spend building.
What I'm building right now is for healthcare workers and caregivers. The why is personal, based on my recent experience, and I'm starting with cancer because that's the part I've been closest to. The people who take care of everyone else are often the last ones taken care of. I want to chip away at that, even a little.
I love coding. I love tinkering with things. The pull, for me, is always the same: take something that doesn't work, or doesn't exist yet, and turn it into something useful for the community around me. The technology is the tool. The community is the point.
When I'm not building, I'm on the football field. I played varsity football in high school. Football and building are different shapes of the same instinct: a team, a problem, a clock.
I also co-founded a clothing brand for teens called Arcus, with a few of my close friends. I wouldn't have started it any other way. The best work I've done so far has been the work I've done alongside people I trust.
If you work in healthcare, or you're a caregiver, or you're building something in that space and want to compare notes, I'd like to hear from you. Reach me through Nitin for now.
